African College of Aviation (Pty) Ltd (ACA) is a flight training school that is fully African owned. ACA is the first flight training school to be 100% African owned and also the first to be managed by African women. The directors of the school have over 15 years combined experience in the aviation industry. With an industry background of a failure to increase the number of pilots from previously disadvantaged individuals over the past 18 years, the aviation industry is far from reaching its transformation deadlines. Over the last year several initiatives from various industry players have been initiated. The most notable being the tender from South African Airways for training of cadet training. It is from this background that African College of Aviation (ACA) was conceived, the main objective being to provide aviation training to previously disadvantages individuals in South Africa and the rest of Africa. Holds a CA (SA) qualification through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). She completed her articles and training at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) after which she then served as a manager for a year before joining Karibu Holdings (Pty) Ltd as their CEO.
Is the founder of ACA and she is a pilot for South African Airways. She has been in the aviation industry for more than 10 years and the first African woman to acquire an Airline Transport Pilot Licence in South Africa. She has also flown for Red Cross and World Food Programme in Central and West Africa. She also flew for SA Express before going to SAA
